Death of Sister

Dear Tina,

John and I were very saddened when we read your letter today. Your sister's death comes as a great shock to us both. Julia was a great friend and we have many wonderful memories of her. Her passing will leave an empty space in our lives, as it will in yours.

I can remember the last time she came to visit us, here, in France. We spent many jolly days together basking in the sunshine and exchanging gossip over a glass of wine. We could always rely on Julia to tell us the latest about all the goings on in the village, who had got married, had a baby and so forth.  It certainly helped us when we first moved here and were so homesick.

I am sorry that John and I are unable to attend the funeral. But our thoughts will be with you and Tony as you say goodbye to your beloved sister and our wonderful friend.

With deepest sympathy.

Much love from Francine and John Stapleton

Death of Teacher

Dear------

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Smith.

She was my favourite history teacher and I was fortunate to have her in year 6 and 7 at Hillside Junior High.

She was a teacher who taught from the heart and was always very enthusiastic and passionate about her subject. I have many fond memories of my time spent in her class.

May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to her family.

Condolence Poem

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you, and whispered “Come to Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you, we watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
