Important points to consider are:
1. Have the correct names, titles and contact details of the person or people who interviewed you to hand.
2. Send your thank you note as soon as possible after the interview, preferably within 24 hours.
3. Only hand write your thank you note if you have legible handwriting, otherwise type it. In fact you may want to send a thank you note by email and then follow up with snail mail.

Other important points to bear in mind are:
Always check for spelling and grammar. Nothing is worse than a page full of mistakes. I suggest you have someone proof read your interview thank you note. Check, check and check again!
Check the spelling of the interviewer's name and his or her correct job title.
If your thank you notes are typed, always hand write your signature.
